The Consort’s Guard is comprised of fighters, fencers, archers, equestrians, and throwers who are not Peers of the Realm. They are chosen by the Heir Consort for their skill and courtesy to serve for the duration of their reign. From among the chosen, the Heir Consort chooses a captain to organize and lead them. Members of the Guard traditionally wear a purple baldric bearing the Tudor Rose, though many Consorts also give each guard something personal to their reign, as well.
