Award: Grandmaster Bowman - children - Multiple Branches
Grandmaster Bowman for children is the second highest possible target archery rank, earned by having a Royal Round average between 100.0 and 119.7 in a specific division. The original category was “Children’s” in 1991. This was changed to “Children’s Junior”, ages 5-10, and “Children’s Senior”, ages 11-13, in 1995. The categories became “Children’s”, ages 5-10, “Youth”, ages 11-14, and “Senior Youth”, ages 15-17, in 2010. In 2013, the “Youth” category was changed to 11-13, and “Senior Youth” to 14-15. 16 and above was expected to shoot as an adult. 2014 the categories were “Children”, ages 5-9, “Youth”, ages 10-12, “Senior Youth”, ages 13-15. In 2019, “Young Adult”, ages 16-18, was added. The distances shot vary by age group. For entries where the exact date is not known, the last day of the scoring season in which the rank was achieved is used.
